I fell in love with Jim Dastard, the cigar-eating animated skull in The Dark Victorian: Risen. He is one of the most unique characters I have ever had the pleasure to read.
During Jim's numerous adventures with his partner Art, I had an epiphany. I wanted Jim on the blog permanently. So, I asked Elizabeth if she would be so kind as to allow him to stay with me.
Though I still have to let Art, his partner, borrow him for adventures and hunting re-animationists and bone stealers, he is here when he needs to be.
Read my review of the first volume in the series, The Dark Victorian: Risen here. Then, pick up a copy of the book for yourself. My review of the second volume in the series will be posted soon, so keep an eye out.
